About the consortium
The Fluid Dynamics Research Consortium (FDRC) connects Penn State’s fluid dynamics community across academic departments, research institutes, the Applied Research Laboratory, and Commonwealth Campuses.
Since spring 2012, FDRC has hosted a regular seminar series featuring Penn State researchers and invited speakers from universities, government laboratories, and industry in the United States and abroad. The series provides opportunities to exchange ideas, develop collaborations, and introduce graduate students to research across the field.
Talks span experimental, computational, and theoretical fluid mechanics, with subjects ranging from turbulence and multiphase flows to aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, biomechanics, acoustics, environmental flows, and propulsion. FDRC also supports related conferences and workshops at Penn State.
